Re: Closure of the Montego
Bay offices
As
a result
of the closure of the Montego Bay
office the
following processes have been implemented to facilitate submissions by
our
Clients in the West.

Submitting
and picking up documents
- Applications for
import licenses should be submitted on-line
- Supporting documents may be
submitted via upload, e-mail, fax, courier
service or brought to Trade Board's
office.
- Applications for
export licenses and certificates of origin can be completed and sent by
courier
to the Trade Board's office to be certified.
- Certified licenses
and certificates of origin can either be picked up by the client or
by an authorised
person or sent by courier to client.
Payments
- Online payment
- Cheque sent by
courier to Trade Board Limited
- Establishment of
Deposit accounts (pre-payment for Certification)
- Currently in
discussion with NCB and Inland Revenue to accommodate payments

Please
Note:

For urgent
shipments requiring a Certificate of Origin.
Exporters can complete a certificate of Origin,
fax it
to the certification unit, a certifying officer
will then complete the
necessary certificate of origin, validate it and send
it by courier to exporter.

A letter of
authorization is required by the
Trade Board if a client
is sending a representitive to pick up a license on their behalf (courier or
other).
- Courier costs are the
clients responsibility.
- A Toll free number (1-888-367-8247)
has been set up to provide general support to clients.
- Forms available at
the above mentioned Montego Bay
locations are
free of cost
