Ten (10) years (vehicle must be owned for at least 6 months prior to application)

Pre-Shipment Inspection & Sanitization
Applicable to used vehicles from Japan, USA, UK, Singapore & the United Arab Emirates.

Register
Register via www.jswift.gov.jm by entering personal information (Government ID required)

Apply
Log-in using JSWIFT credentials and submit application.

Enter item details, attach the following documents and make payment:

1. Returning Resident Pre/Approval Letter (obtained from the Jamaica Customs Agency)
2. Invoice from Supplier or The Bill of Sale
3. Registration Certificate, Certificate of Title or Japanese Export Certificate detailing Model, Year, VIN, Colour, Seating Capacity, Unladen Weight etc.
4. One type of Valid Identification & Proof of Citizenship. For example:
• Passport (bio data page)
• Jamaican Driver’s Licence (both sides)
• Jamaican Voters’ Identification Card (both sides)
5. Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN)
6. Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) Certificate
