The Jamaica Trade Board Limited (JTBL) reminds all importers of used vehicles that Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) is mandatory for vehicles shipped from the following designated countries, in accordance to Section 17.0 “Dealer Disclosure (Pre-Shipment Inspection Certificate)” of the Motor Vehicle Import Policy (Ministry Paper #36/14):

Japan

• United States
• United Kingdom
• Canada
• United Arab Emirates
• Thailand
• Singapore
• China

Pre-shipment Inspection (PSI) fees

Effective June 1, 2026, the revised fees are as follows:

• Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) Fee: USD 187.00 (previously USD 175.00)
• Vehicle Sanitization Fee: USD 75.00 (previously USD 70.00)
