The Jamaica Trade Information Portal (JTIP) is the one-stop point for all information relating to import and export to and from Jamaica.

JSWIFT

The Jamaica Single Window for Trade (JSWIFT) serves as an electronic platform, which allow traders to submit transactional information through a single access point.

Pre-Shipment

The PSIC is intended to transform the Used Motor Vehicle sector by ensuring that vehicles imported for use on the roads of Jamaica are of high quality and standard. It will also provide consumers with accurate detailed information pertaining to essential criteria

About Us


We are a regulatory agency of government under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry, Investment & Commerce (MIIC) headed by the Trade Administrator who operates under the legal authority of the Trade Act.

The Jamaica Trade Board Limited is Jamaica's certifying authority for goods exported under the various trade agreements. The Jamaica Trade Board Limited has responsibility for: WTO Agreement on Import Licensing. Issuing import and export licences for specific items that may have a negative impact on the environmental, social or economic conditions of the country; Issuing certificates of origin for Jamaican exports under various Preferential Trade Agreements; Ensuring that Jamaica meets its international obligations under the following: WTO Agreement on Rules of Origin The company is headed by the Trade Administrator who manages the operations of the company. All operations are done from its office situated at 10th Floor, Air Jamaica Building, 72 Harbour Street, Kingston.

By 2030, the Jamaica Trade Board Limited will be recognized as the national focal point for trade facilitation by being Jamaica’s primary source of trade information and the chief administrator of relevant trade policies, regulations, and agreements/arrangements.

To efficiently support Jamaica’s economic development by contributing to an enabling ecosystem for trade growth and development, increased local and foreign investments, and sustained job creation: through the provision of relevant trade-related information, the issuance, and regulation of trade licenses and certification, consistent with the government's trade policies and agreements.
