| Kingston, Jamaica - The Trade Board Limited (TBL), an agency of the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce (MIIC), is pleased to announce that, effective July 3, 2025, it has officially changed its name to the Jamaica Trade Board Limited (JTBL).
The change of name reflects the agencys continued commitment to national development and its evolving role as a key facilitator of Jammaicas trade ecosystem.
Dr. (Maj. Retd) Hugh Blake, Trade Administrator and Chief Executive Officer of JTBL proudly stated that: The renaming to Jamaica Trade Board Limited reaffirms our national identity and clearly signals our strategic and enabling role in supporting Jamaican businesses to access and thrive in international markets. The new name also aligns the JTBLs mandate with Jamaicas trade development priorities
Please note that while the name has changed, the agencys core functions, address, and contact information remain the same. The JTBL will continue to carry out its full range of functions, including licensing, certification, policy support, and trade facilitation, in accordance with existing laws, regulations and policies.
All previously issued certificates, licenses, and documents under the name The Trade Board Limited remain valid and legally binding.
The Jamaica Trade Board Limited remains committed to its mission of enabling and expanding Jamaicas participation in international trade through innovation, partnerships, and impactful leadership.
