The Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Senator Aubyn Hill, says the country should be embarrassed that only strife torn Haiti has a lower GDP per capita rank than Jamaica in the Caribbean.
Senator Hill was speaking Tuesday morning at a dissemination seminar put on by the Trade Board Limited at the UWI’s Regional Headquarters in St. Andrew.
Senator Hill challenged the exporters in the audience to take on the responsibility of pushing Jamaica up the regional ‘GDP per capita table’.
